Our Treatments & Services

Each therapy is rooted in thousands of years of clinical wisdom, delivered with modern precision and deep personal care.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of ultra-fine sterile needles into specific points along the body's meridian network β€” pathways through which Qi (vital energy) flows. By stimulating these points, we regulate the nervous system, modulate pain signalling, reduce inflammation, and activate the body's self-healing mechanisms.

At Jade Dragon, every acupuncture session begins with a comprehensive TCM diagnosis, ensuring that needle selection, point combination, and technique are perfectly calibrated to your individual pattern. No two sessions are identical, because no two patients are identical.

  • Stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Insomnia and sleep disorders
  • Fertility support and menstrual irregularities

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is one of the most sophisticated and clinically effective botanical traditions in the world, refined over more than 2,500 years. Our practitioners prescribe individualised formulas β€” typically combining 8–15 herbs β€” selected to address your unique constitutional pattern and presenting condition.

We source only premium, ethically obtained herbs that are rigorously tested for authenticity, purity, and potency. Formulas are available as traditional decoctions (teas), concentrated granules, or capsules to suit your lifestyle.

Areas of Specialisation

  • Hormonal health: PCOS, endometriosis, menopause, thyroid imbalances
  • Fertility support and IVF preparation
  • Chronic fatigue, adrenal exhaustion, and post-viral recovery
  • Skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea)
  • Digestive disorders and liver health
  • Immune modulation and autoimmune support
  • Mental-emotional support (anxiety, depression, insomnia)

Tuina Massage

Tuina (pronounced "twee-nah") is a sophisticated system of Chinese therapeutic massage that predates modern physiotherapy by more than two thousand years. It works directly on the meridian system, using a rich repertoire of manual techniques β€” including rolling, pressing, kneading, stretching, and joint mobilisation β€” to restore the free flow of Qi and Blood.

Unlike relaxation massage, Tuina is a focused clinical treatment targeting specific musculoskeletal complaints and systemic patterns of disharmony. Sessions are often combined with acupuncture or cupping for maximum therapeutic effect.

Ideal For

  • Lower back pain, sciatica, and lumbar disc issues
  • Neck and shoulder tension, frozen shoulder
  • Sports injuries and musculoskeletal rehabilitation
  • Headaches and jaw (TMJ) dysfunction
  • Hip pain, knee pain, and arthritic joints
  • Repetitive strain and carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Postural imbalances and scoliosis
From €80 per session ⏱ 60–75 min

Cupping Therapy

Cupping uses glass, silicone, or bamboo cups to create gentle suction on the skin, lifting the underlying fascia and soft tissue. This negative pressure draws fresh blood to the surface, breaks up adhesions, releases deeply held tension, and promotes the drainage of metabolic waste.

We offer both static cupping (cups left in place) and dynamic or sliding cupping (cups moved across lubricated skin). The characteristic circular marks left by cupping are not bruises but evidence of improved microcirculation and Qi movement, typically fading within 3–7 days.

Benefits

  • Deep release of muscular tension and adhesions
  • Improved local and systemic circulation
  • Respiratory relief (bronchitis, asthma, chest tightness)
  • Reduction of cellulite and lymphatic stagnation
  • Detoxification and immune support
  • Profound relaxation and nervous system regulation
From €55 per session ⏱ 30–45 min

Moxibustion

Moxibustion involves the burning of Ai Ye (mugwort, Artemisia argyi) β€” dried into a moxa stick or wool β€” above or directly on acupuncture points. The radiant heat penetrates deeply into the meridians, warming Yang Qi, dispelling Cold and Dampness, and tonifying deficient conditions that do not respond well to needling alone.

Moxibustion is frequently combined with acupuncture and is particularly indicated for cold, deficient, or chronic patterns of disharmony. It has a distinctive warming, earthy aroma that many patients find deeply calming.

Indicated For

  • Yang deficiency: coldness, fatigue, poor circulation
  • Reproductive health: breech presentation, fertility, menstrual pain
  • Chronic digestive weakness and loose stools
  • Arthritic pain that worsens in cold and damp conditions
  • Immune deficiency and frequent illness
  • Post-surgical or post-illness recovery and debility
Often combined with acupuncture ⏱ 20–30 min add-on

Gua Sha

Gua Sha ("scraping sand") uses a smooth jade, buffalo horn, or stainless steel tool to apply repeated, unidirectional strokes over lubricated skin. The technique produces petechiae (tiny red/purple spots under the skin called sha) that indicate the release of Blood stagnation and the stimulation of microcirculation.

Modern research has shown that Gua Sha upregulates the expression of Heme Oxygenase-1 (HO-1), a potent anti-inflammatory enzyme, explaining many of its therapeutic effects. The sha typically resolves within 2–4 days.

Applications

  • Neck and upper back pain and stiffness
  • Liver Qi stagnation and chronic tension
  • Fever, early-stage colds, and flu relief
  • Facial Gua Sha for lymphatic drainage and skin vitality
  • Peri-menopausal hot flushes
  • Hepatitis and chronic liver conditions
From €45 per session ⏱ 20–40 min

TCM Dietary Therapy

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, food is considered the most fundamental form of medicine. Every food has a specific energetic nature β€” temperature, flavour, and tropism β€” that influences the organs and meridians it enters. TCM dietary therapy tailors nutritional advice to your individual constitution and current pattern of disharmony.

Our practitioners provide detailed dietary guidance alongside other treatments, recommending specific foods, cooking methods, and meal timing strategies that support and accelerate the healing process. We also advise on lifestyle adjustments β€” sleep, exercise, stress management β€” to optimise your treatment outcomes.
